Walking around the streets - my first days in Budapest.
This week I want to tell you something
about my first expressions while walking through the streets of the capital of
Hungary, Budapest.
First day in Budapest:
Waking up in the morning after a
long day of travelling before.
I am really hungry and I have to be
honest, I am a little bit afraid of experiencing a culture shock. Thats the
reason why I go to Aldi, a german supermarket which I am used to.
After having breakfast in my Airbnb I
have my first appointment for visiting a flat.
I am walking there by foot.
There are two things, which making me
experience a little culture shock. On the sidewalk is so may trash and it
tickles water from the buildings. Two things that you usally can not see in
Germany while walking on the sidewalk.
Sadly it is a really rainy day, I think
this also leads to my Homesickness.
Second day:
I feel so much better, the sun is
shinig above Budapest.
I found a flat and all the landlords
the day before were so kind and helpful.
In the afternoon I am doing some
sightseeing and I am so flashed by all the nice old buildings. In Germany they
are a great rarity, because almost everything was destroyed after World War
II.
So all in all, I saw many things,
which are so different compared to Germany, but on the otherhand I was
impressed by the beauty of the hungarian capital.
